WHAT INSPIRES ME

MUSIC

When someone, even an average singer belts a hit number, I start crooning, along. Sometimes, the bristles o n the back of my neck stand up. I feel a shiver run up my spine. If music is the food for soul, I want to have continuously played on in my life.
With music there can never be a dull moment in anyone’s life. Like love, there is something to it that defies logic and reasoning and cannot be explained in cold words. No matter how much chaotic my life must be, when I tune into music, I can roll back in time, and begin to immediately feel better. Music is complete bliss for me.
For several years now, I've been digging deeply into this band called Above & Beyond, which is an electronic music playing group. I guess, my love for a certain kind of music has given me a firm grounding, nay, a solid kick in my life, and most importantly the power to imagine! My passion for music runs so deep that I have got trained in electronic music, and hope to hop from an apprentice to a professional entertainer, someday soon - just kidding!

BOOKS

I've always believed that some books change you forever. My rule of thumb is that if I am able to pick one good idea from a book, it's paid its cost manifold. As far back as I can remember I’ve enjoyed flipping through the pages of a rustling book. It's akin to travelling – stepping into someone else’s world and feeling a part of it.
As a pragmatic, I know that a book can’t change your life by itself, but it can certainly give you all the advice, strategies, and techniques necessary to make those changes yourself. I guess, so far in my life I must have read 500+ books and hope I keep counting the number, as years go by.

IRON

First and foremost, it gives me balance. In my world, balance is the key. A bad day at work can easily flip into a good day in the weight room and set me on course for the next day!
I am inspired by the words of Henry Rollins in Iron & the Soul, "The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and body have been awakened to their true potential, it's impossible to turn back."
Every time you step in the weight room you are afforded an opportunity to get better; to compete with yourself and win a small battle to prepare you for the war of your choosing.
Richard Leider made a smart statement, "The Purpose of Life is to lead a Life of Purpose." My purpose in life is to, "Pioneer, Evolve, Go Higher and Beyond" and to a very large extent, Music, Books, and Iron fuel this purpose.
